Good Shepherd Weekend 2016 (Easter IV) marked the fifteenth anniversary of Redeemer and Pastor Taylor's life together.  The weekend included presentations by Redeemer's President--Dr. Alisa Spivey Caraballo--and First Vice-President--Mr. Kennard Verapen--during the three weekend Liturgies.  Different gifts were given to Pastor at each Liturgy from Redeemer as we shared the life-giving gifts that our Lord gives to us in Word and Sacraments.  Multiple cakes after the multiple Liturgies were cut and shared.  Redeemer EYES (Energetic Youth Engaged in Service) used the weekend to kick off the sale of new Redeemer wristband bracelets and T-shirts as we give thanks to our Lord for our parish.  Although Deaconess Rojas and others from Pastor's family were unable to attend, Pastor's sister and mother were able to be there as letters were shared from LCMS President The Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, LCMS President emeritus The Rev. Dr. Gerald B. Kieschnick and The Rev. Dr. Rudolph and Lenore Wittrock Ressmeyer.   Circuit Visitor--The Rev. Dr. John R. Hannah--was present just as he was fifteen years ago as he was the preacher for the Liturgy of Installation of Pastor Taylor.  We gave thanks for the beauty of our parish and the extraordinary vocation our Lord has given to us to be powerful leaders who provide, protect and are present for the world, redeemed by the powerful providing, protecting and present Good Shepherd of our souls--Christ Jesus our Redeemer.
